Diego Arango Arango, born in Colombia, studied architecture and graphic arts first in the Colombian capital Bogotá and later in Spain's metropolis Madrid. In the process, he discovered his passion for free painting, which he still practices today with great international success. He has lived and worked in Mallorca since 1988. DAA, as he also signs his paintings, has had countless solo exhibitions in renowned galleries in Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, Colombia, Mexico and Switzerland. DAA paints in a style that combines dream imagery and symbolism with naivety. His works are strongly influenced by the pre-Columbian art of his home country. He revives the cultural history of Colombia with great power, strong colours and universal symbols. Encrypted, enigmatic dream images of hypnotic power that touch the viewer directly. Art experts count DAA among the "sophisticated naives" of the current art scene. It is not for nothing that he titled his exhibition at the Galeria de Arte Minkner "Con los ojos de los ninos - with the eyes of children".
