Dagmar Adamski

Geburtsjahr: 1940
Dagmar Adamski learned painting at the Schloss Rittershein-Comberg art academy under Heinz Lembke-Rossau, a master student of the Bauhaus artist Georg Muche. Her teacher's motto was: "First we learn the craft, and then we become ingenious". In addition to her own artistic work, she ran a painting school in Groß-Gerau until 2006 and worked with children and students, some of whom she also accompanied on their way to art school. She says about this: "It was a great playing field for children and adults. We were great!" Almond trees, olive trees, sheep in a rocky landscape, the sea, the harbour, fishing boats, the old houses, the sand - that's Mallorca, and that's where Dagmar Adamski is at home now. The artist lives and works in an old natural stone house near Sóller with a small orange and lemon plantation. And this is where she finds her motifs; still lifes with roses, lilies, cacti and fruits or ensembles with earthenware, jugs and vases or even shells in the sand. In the past, she painted in a very sensitive way, finely approaching the soul of the objects, today she also likes to abstract and be a bit cheeky.
